The English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), is pleased to inform all alumni that the Directorate General of Teachers, Education Personnel, and Teacher Education (Directorate General of GTK) has officially opened registration for the 2026 Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program for Prospective Teachers.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for graduates to obtain a professional teaching certificate and pursue a career as certified professional teachers in Indonesia. The registration period runs from 27 June to 25 July 2026.
Eligible Study Program for English Education Alumni
Graduates of the English Education Study Program are encouraged to apply for the English field of study in the PPG program. Applicants must hold a linear Bachelor’s (S-1) or Applied Bachelor’s (D-IV) degree in one of the following disciplines:
- English Education
- English Language Education (Tadris Bahasa Inggris)
- English Language and Literature
- Other related disciplines as specified in the official announcement.
Financial Support
Successful applicants will receive the following benefits:
- Education funding assistance of IDR 17,000,000 covering two semesters of study.
- A selection registration fee of IDR 200,000.
Important Dates
- Registration: 27 June – 25 July 2026
- Substantive Test (Computer-Based Test/CAT): 3 – 7 August 2026
- Announcement of Results: 21 September 2026
Selection Process
The admission process consists of three stages:
- Online Administrative Screening
- Substantive Test (Literacy, Numeracy, and Subject Matter Competency) conducted offline using the Computer-Based Test (CAT) system
- Online Interview
